Objective

To help users select the audio language of their choice, which will help them understand the content better.

Context

From user feedback, we know that customers are struggling with the language. Around 12% of parents demanded vernacular language to be part of the application which will help kids to understand the context better. So we’re introducing the newest feature in our application where users can choose the required language.

Scope
  1. The default language will always be English.
  2. At launch, we will support 6 languages - Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali.
  3. English will still be used to communicate visual and textual information. Only audio will have vernacular variants.
Problem Statements
  1. At the early stage, children communicate in their local language and later learn the English language.
  2. Since English isn't their first language, they might have difficulty understanding certain words.
  3. Jane provides assistance and directions through Voice Overs. So the language that she speaks must be well understood by kids.
How does the flow work?
  1. The language button would be on the main screen.
  2. Tapping on the language button, a pop-up will appear wherein the user can choose the required language.
  3. Selecting the language, a confirmation pop would appear along with VO.
  4. Tapping on Yes, would change to the required language.
  5. Tapping on No gets back to the gameplay.
  6. Once the user switches to another language within the content, the change will be applied globally.
Things to Note
  1. CV to put on hold once tapped on the language button.
  2. Music to pause when tapped on the language button.
  3. The placement of the language button would be fixed.
  4. The default language would be English.
How would we measure the success metric? And How would we track it?
  1. With this feature getting on board, we expect customer satisfaction.
  2. Increase in retention rate and engagement.
  3. Adoption measures the number of users who have readily adopted language feature.
  4. The average time spent on this feature completing the worksheet.
  5. We will track through Playtest, Survey, and Data Analytics
